Last week I posted about helicopter parenting and the detrimental impact protecting children has on their ability to learn decision making. It appears some communities are waking up to the need to create demanding playgrounds and non standardised environments so children can learn the essential skills they need to succeed in life. Now we just have to get the governments and law makers on-board so councils aren't sued for their efforts. What a ridiculous situation we've created essentially when parents don't feel safe they will exhibit their fears in front of their children.
